The Lax Teacher trains athletes across the Charlotte metro region. Sessions run in Charlotte, Marvin, and Huntersville, NC, with travel for standing weekly bookings.

The Charlotte-region lacrosse scene

Lacrosse in the Carolinas is still building. North Carolina is adding youth and high-school programs every year, and the Charlotte metro is one of the hottest pockets of growth in the southeast. That growth comes with a real catch: there are not nearly as many college-experienced private coaches as there are in the lacrosse hotbeds up north.

That gap is exactly the reason The Lax Teacher exists. Athletes who want to play at the next level need reps from a coach who has actually been at that level. Dan's eight-plus years of college and club coaching, including Division 1 work at Wagner College and running defensive units at Babson and Montclair State, is the kind of training experience that produces measurable jumps in skill and IQ. The same drills that ran in a Sweet-16 college program are the drills running in Charlotte backyards and on local turf fields on a Tuesday afternoon.

Off-season is where seasons get built. Winter and early spring training in the Carolinas is when the biggest gains happen, because that is when the high-school team is not consuming the calendar. The Lax Teacher schedules around lights and turf availability, with Charlotte, Marvin, and Huntersville offering enough field options to keep cadence year-round.

Sessions happen at public parks, school fields, and turf facilities. Specific venue gets confirmed on booking based on the athlete's neighborhood, the time of year, and field availability. For locations that need lights (winter evenings), Dan keeps a short list of reliable options in both areas.
